About Helguard
Helguard is a private network platform for organizations and teams — turning infrastructure scattered across cloud, on-prem, office, and homelab into one secure, policy-driven private network, without the overhead of hand-rolled VPN setups.
What it is
Helguard helps organizations set up private subnets, control routing and egress, and manage secure access across distributed nodes — connecting servers across cloud, on-prem, office, and homelab into one private network, built on WireGuard with native macOS and Windows clients. The goal is for private networking to feel less like hand-assembling VPN configs and more like a product: request access, connect a node, and let routing and firewall rules follow policy instead of one-off scripts.
Why it exists
Most private-networking setups end up as a pile of one-off configs, static routes, and firewall rules that only the person who wrote them fully understands. Helguard is an attempt to turn that into something an organization can actually operate — with roles, subnets, and access control instead of tribal knowledge.
Status
Helguard is in private beta (MVP stage) — actively developed and used, with access available on request for evaluation and early feedback.
